ABOUT THE OWNERS

Introducing Judy Jaramillo, the co-founder and proprietor of Cosmic 8. Judy, who hails from Houston, TX, was raised by Colombian immigrants and acquired a profound understanding of hard work and sacrifice from an early age. Her natural ability to establish genuine connections with individuals allowed her to excel in interpersonal skills. Having worked with esteemed luxury brands like Fendi and Land Rover, Judy honed her expertise in empathizing with others and providing extraordinary customer service. Upon completing her Bachelor's degree in Merchandising and Consumer Science at the University of Houston, Judy made the decision to utilize her customer service and online merchandising knowledge in the beauty industry. She furthered her education by obtaining a license in permanent makeup and lash extensions. Judy's ability to connect with clients and instill confidence in them revealed her passion for cultivating relationships. After leaving her position at Land Rover to pursue an independent career, Judy joined forces with Coco, combining their talents to expand the business.

Meet Coco, co-founder/owner of Cosmic 8, LLC, located in Houston, TX. Born in New Orleans but raised in Houston, Coco has always had a deep love for all things beauty. From being a highly sought-after makeup artist, to getting her license in esthetics, to becoming the co-CEO of a booming beauty and wellness spa, she has made it her priority to amplify everyone’s allure. During her teenage years, Coco struggled with acne and how to make herself look/feel good despite it. She ended up getting help from her dermatologist while also learning how to doll herself up to conceal her blemishes. She carried those talents along with her into adulthood and was eventually convinced by a friend to use those talents on others. Coco started her journey into the beauty industry in 2014, doing Halloween makeup. She then began to work her way deeper into it by doing makeup for photo shoots, fashion shows, and magazine shoots. By working with so many people from different walks of life (and with so many different skin textures), she realized that a lot of people wanted her to work magic with her makeup abilities when, in reality, they needed a different form of magic from her hands. In 2017, Coco received her esthetics and lash extension licenses, ready to change lives starting skin deep.
